Floating Bags was born from a deeply personal journey — one rooted in resilience, creativity, and purpose. In 2015, while pursuing a Master’s in Psychology, our founder began handcrafting paper bags to sell to local shops in Bengaluru. What started as a way to fund his education gradually grew into something greater: a mission to build a sustainable business that reflects both his values and vision.
As his academic journey continued through a PhD in social psychology, so did the evolution of Floating Bags — transforming from a side hustle into a purpose-driven brand grounded in behavioral insight and environmental responsibility.
Today, Floating Bags designs and manufactures 100% eco-friendly paper bags, gift wraps, and packaging materials for retail, exports, and B2B clients. Every product is thoughtfully crafted — not just to replace plastic, but to inspire better choices. Our work combines sustainability with a deep understanding of how people think, shop, and connect with brands in social spaces.
